Many East Walnut Hills residents commute by bus to jobs downtown or on Pill Hill. The following Metro bus routes serve the neighborhood: #1, #11, #24, and #31. The front of each bus features a bike rack for rider use.
For cyclists, there are bike racks located on Woodburn Ave. in the de Sales Corner business district. There are bike lanes on Madison Rd., Victory Pkwy. and Eden Park Dr. The nearest Red Bike station is in Eden Park, near the roundabout. Grab-and-go rental scooters can often be found in de Sales Corner and Eden Park.
In addition to local green spaces, popular walking destinations include the Evanston Recreation Center, Peebles Corner in Walnut Hills, O’Bryonville business district, and the Walnut Hills Public Library.
The Art Deco Krohn Conservatory in Eden Park includes several distinct planting areas and hosts special events throughout the year. Opened in 2020, the Art Climb provides a new pedestrian welcome to the Cincinnati Art Museum, fully integrated with Eden Park’s trails and featuring several outdoor sculptures along a 164-step route.
Go Vibrant has developed three neighborhood walking routes in collaboration with community stakeholders. Follow these walking and jogging paths to explore the unique history and architecture of our neighborhood. Click here to view or download the map PDF.
